Written by: N/A Tarzan rescues a woman who has been cornered by a group of angry gorillas. She is on her way home to her city, Cathne, but is wary and fearful of Athne, the City of Gold and Cathne’s hated enemy. Tarzan agrees to escort her back to her city, but they are captured by Athne warriors and brought before the evil Queen Nemone, who rules the City of Gold. While imprisoned, Tarzan meets Phobeg, a warrior, whom he must by Queen Nemone’s order, meet in a gladitorial style combat. After defeating Phobeg and sparing his life, a now free and greatful Phobig befriends Tarzan and helps him and the girl to escape by lending Tarzan his guards uniform and a chariot. Note: The character of Phobeg was voiced by the late Ted Cassidy, who had also voiced the part of Thun the Lion-man in Filmation’s Flash Gordon: The Greatest Adventure of All. Additional note: This episode was based loosely on the novel Tarzan and the City of Gold by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Written by: N/A Tarzan is surpirsed to find a great bright light appear in the jungle and begins to investigate, but is delayed because he must rescue a young woman scientist, Jill Bennington, who has been doing research in the area. The pair decide to investigate the strange phenomena together, and discover robots disguised as animals, an energy barrier, and ultimately behind the barrier, an alien ship the size of a city. Within the city, Tarzan and Jill find that the aliens have been capturing live jungle specimens to study. One of the aliens, Doctor Grolar, traps Tarzan and Jill, and uses Tarzan for a lecture. Tarzan escapes his bonds and sets out to free both Jill and the jungle animals being held captive.

Written by: N/A Finding a massive air-balloon snagged in the jungle trees leads Tarzan to the Valley of Nimmr, a lost village which is still similar to England in the Middle Ages, complete with a castle and armored knights. The balloon belonged to Annie Talbot, who was maroooned in Nimmr, but who is also a jouranlist and plans to do great story on Nimmr. Unfortunately, the evil Lord Malud has other plans for her. He is attemtpting to poison his sister, the Queen Guinalda, usurp the throne, and take “Lady” Anne for his wife. After being unjustly jailed by Malud, Tarzan defeats Malud in a jousting competition, and rescues Annie, whom Malud attempts to take as a hostage. Note: This episode was based loosely on Tarzan book Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Written by: N/A Tarzan is startled to find jungle animals stampeding in fear of a great glacial volcano erupting in the jungle, sending lava and molten meteors tearing through the jungle canopy. An even more startling discovery is that locked in ice behind the melting glacier is the great legendary creature, Glacor. Tarzan and Nikima befriend the great beast, who is a gentle giant, but his emergence has also been observed by the greedy fortune hunters, Norcroft and Phelps, who intend to trap Glacor. They attempt to do so by distracting Tarzan, and then tying Glacor up using cables attached to biplanes. It does not, however, take Tarzan long to free himself and track down the two fortune hunters down and free great Glacor.

Tarzan and the Lost City of Atlantis

Written by: N/A By watching circling vultures, Tarzan and Nikima come upon a sick whale. Tarzan communicates with the whale, and is surprised when it reveals that dolphins and whales are being used for slave labor in the city of Atlantis. Deciding to investigate, Tarzan accompanies the whale to Atlantis. Here he discovers that King Neptune has been absent and ruling in his place is Sinabar. Although Neptune’s daughter, Aquila is the rightful ruler, Sinabar is clearly strongarming her. Tarzan does discover that dolphins and whales are in fact being used as slaves for machinery to keep the city’s structure intact. After surviving an attempt to eliminate him with Aquila’s help, Tarzan and Aquila locate a wise man who knows of a system to run the machinery without the use of animal slaves, and must then install it, and fend off opposition from Sinabar and his forces.

Written by: N/AA quiet day for Tarzan and Nikima is abrubtly halted by a panicked herd of stampeding elephants. Stopping the Tantors and calming them down, the elephants tell him in the animal language that they were attacked by giant spiders descending from the trees, and that several of the herd were taken. Tarzan and Nikima investigate the spot and discover a city in the great jungle trees, anchored by steel cables in the shape of a giant spider web. Climbing to the city, Tarzan meets a city worker girl, Vauna, who is part of the worker class of the city, working in a spider-machine. She is unaware that elephants are being used as slaves, but she and Tarzan soon discover that Rachnid, leader of the workers, has indeed been snatching and enslaving elephants. His wish is to expand the city and build better quarters for the workers. Tarzan and Viller, the city leader attempt to tell Rachnid that the slaves must be freed, and additional construction would add too much weight to the city and bring it crashing to the ground. Ultimately, Tarzan helps to save the city from destruction and frees the Tantors from enslavement.
